Albany - There is nothing like eating a bag of peanuts while watching a baseball game.
Of course Albany is the in the heart of the peanut capital of the world.
And Albany's new baseball team is taking advantage of both.
South Coast League president Jamie Toole unveiled the nickname for the league's team at Albany's State Theatre Thursday night.
And the name is the South Georgia Peanuts.
It is a name and logo that fans should go nuts over.
Not only the name but the caps and t-shirts that team will be selling.
The catchy nickname should also help the team as they go out to sell season tickets and corporate sponsorships.
Jamey Toole said "The ballpark will certainly have a peanut patch type field as far as slogans and concession themes all around the name Peanuts."
The South Georgia Peanuts also introducied their general manager Keith Michlig Thursday night.
Season tickets will go on sale starting Friday.
The South Georgia Peanuts phone number is 229-435-8900.
