Albany - Future military service members pause to thank those who have served our country.

Junior ROTC cadets at Monroe High School held a Veteran's Day Ceremony Thursday morning, honoring graduates of their school currently serving in Iraq and Afghanistan, as well as school staff members that once served.

City Commissioner Tommie Postell was also recognized for his service in the Navy during the Korean war. Cadet Major Shonquetta Walker says, "Go to him and thank him for the things that he's done and just tell him that you appreciate his time."

City Commissioner Tommie Postell says, "they were willing to make the sacrifice to go serve their country and that's important."

Veterans Day is November 11th.
