Naked man rescued off restaurant sign

November 9, 2006

Albany -- An Albany man is hospitalized after being found naked on top of an East Albany restaurant sign.

Around midnight, the man was spotted on top of the Captain D's sign on East Ogelthorpe Boulevard. Police say Jesse Dillard was naked and incoherent.

Firefighters used a ladder to get him down. He was taken to the hospital.

Dillard told paramedics he had not taken his medication because he was afraid to go home. He claimed his girlfriend was trying to kill him.

Dillard has not been charged with any crime.
