Albany - Westover high senior Kendra Berry is what basketball coaches would call a complete player.
She can score, rebound, pass and play defense.
Berry is not only an all-star on the court at Westover but also in the classroom.
The combination of basketball talent and brains has earned Kendra a basketball scholarship to Furman University.
Berry has been a starter since she arrived at Westover and has averaged double figures in points in her first three seasons.
For her career, she has scored 1263 points, grabbed 513 rebounds, handed out 426 assists and made 174 steals.
The best stat is her grade point average.
Berry is second in the Westover High senior class.
And it was the combination of academics and basketball she was looking for in choosing a college.
Kendra Berry said "I was pretty set when I walked onto Furman's campus. I liked the atmosphere. It is small. It is only about 3000 students. I was pretty sure it was going to be Furman."
Kendra Berry is leaning towards a career in sports medicine.
She was also considering Georgia State, Wofford and North Carolina-Greensboro.
