Lowndes County - Some South Georgia voters had another big decision to make election day.
Voters at several precincts in Lowndes County were offered the option to receive a flu shot before or after voting.
This year was the first year the Department of Health offered the vote and vaccinate program to county residents.
The shots were offered to anyone but aimed towards senior citizens, as residents 50 and older are most likely to get the illness. "If they're a senior, the flu could be very dangerous and whatever you can do to avoid catching that, I think is worth while," says Lowndes County voter Robert Winter.
The Department of Health hopes to continue the program in the next big election as well.
