Albany -- Two popular downtown restaurants are now closed.
Georgia Fries on Broad Street and Hubbles on North Washington Street downtown closed Monday. Both businesses were owned by one of Albany's largest downtown property owners Peter Studl.
Studl moved to Albany three years ago with many plans to revitalize the downtown area. Some of his plans included bringing a Firehouse Pizza Restaurant and Museum of Prayer downtown, none of which have come through.
Studl listed 200,000 square feet of his downtown property on the market back in August saying he didn't have the money to revitalize and rebuild the downtown area alone.
