High schoolers from around South Georgia learned how to improve their leadership and entrepreneurial skills today at the fifth annual Southwest Georgia Regional Youth Leadership Conference at Darton College.
This year's conference focused on entrepreneurship, both the pros and the cons of owning your own business were discussed by area business leaders to better inform the high schoolers.
Overall leaders say the conference is meant to teach students to become leaders in their schools, communities, and churches.
"We are hoping the students will take away some form of a leadership component and go start their own businesses"said Darton Colleges Dr. Tony Bretti.
Teachers and counselors also learned some new techniques to help better develop their students leadership skills.
