Cordele - A six month undercover operation in Cordele nets more than 90 illegal video gambling machines and thousands of dollars in cash. Officers raided 15 different convenience stores simultaneously Monday.

During the raid, 92 video gambling machines and cash were seized. The video poker games were giving cash payouts, which is illegal in Georgia.

Officers had received complaints about the machines, and learned that it was leading to financial ruin for some families. Sgt. Carrie Lull says, "Some of the people complained that their husbands or family members were going out and spending their whole entire check and that they didn't have enough money to pay bills so then the whole family suffers."

Four of the store owners were arrested, more arrests are expected.
