Cairo -- Two thieves arrested Tuesday morning for stealing a generator may also be responsible for breaking into numerous cars in Thomas and Grady Counties.

Thirty-four year old Louis Torres and 26-year-old Summer Kandler were spotted loading a generator from Grady General Hospital into a van around 2:30AM Tuesday.

Police were alerted and later stopped the van.  Inside they found the generator and a number of women's purses and seven CD players, stolen from Thomasville vehicles.

Then police also searched the hotel room where the two have been staying.

Torres and Kandler are charged with theft by taking.
