Albany -- Early voting was brisk in Dougherty County on the first day that voters could cast their ballot.
Early voting in Dougherty County began at 8:30 Monday morning at the Civic Center. In the first three hours more than 106 voters cast their ballots.
Like Bobby Brinson, who said he likes the beat the crowd. Brinson said "it minimizes your crowd to a certain degree, and gives you time to maybe do more thinking. In concentration on what you are voting for, as opposed to the mad house."
Any Georgia registered voter can vote this week during the early voting period. In Dougherty County, it is being held at the Civic Center from 8:30 until 4:30 through Friday.
You must show a form of identification, but not necessarily a photo ID.
The general election then will be held November 7th, with voting from 7AM to 7PM.
