Cook County -- The Georgia State Patrol is investigating a deadly motorcycle crash in Cook County.
The accident happened on Highway 37 West at the County Farm Road intersection around 9 this morning.
GSP says 73-year-old Melvin Whitsell of Beverly Hills, Florida was riding west on 37 when he lost control of his bike. He was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Witnesses say Whitsell was traveling with a group of motorcycles.
GSP did not say if Whitsell was wearing a helmet.
A jury convicted a Crisp County man on two counts of child molestation Friday. The jury came back with a guilty verdict for Hermenegildo Virgil Friday.
