Valdosta --- Police say when David Flemmings answered a knock at his door, a man opened fire and shot him in the hip. He survived.
The shooting happened on Ponderosa Drive. "The victim received a gun shot wound to his left hip area when we got there we began some preliminary emergency medical treatment until EMS arrived," said VPD Captain Brian Childress.
