Albany - The Darton Lady Cavaliers aren't the only soccer team on the campus with a chance to win a state junior college championship this weekend.
The Darton men head into the state tournament playing their best soccer of the season.
In their last three matches, Darton posted two wins and a tie.
A finish that pushed the Cavaliers into first in the GJCAA South sub-region.
That earned them a bye in the first round of the state tournament.
Head coach Ken Veilands says the secret for the strong finish is very simple.
The Cavaliers are healthy at the most important time of the season.
Ken Veilands said "It is really kinda of fun. The guys are excited. They are over the moon and they are pumped up and they are ready to go. The energy just coming from them is just unbelievable."
The Darton men plays Young Harris in the semifinals Saturday night at 6:00 p.m..
The men's championship match is Sunday at 2:00 p.m..
