Cecil - With NASCAR racing in Atlanta this weekend, fans have the opportunity to catch some of the best drivers at the top of their game.
But they don't have to go all the way to the Hampton to see some of NASCAR's top drivers.
Ryan Newman, Dave Blaney, and Ken Schrader will be competing tomorrow night at the South Georgia MotorSports park in Cecil.
The 100-lap open-wheel race will have the drivers getting back to their roots.
17-year-old Kyle Nicholas runs between 40 and 50 races a year, and will be on the track Wednesday night.
He says bringing in the big names drivers is an excellent way to promote the sport, and Nichols has already had some success against stand-outs like Tony Stewart, Carl Edwards, and Ryan Newman.
Nicholas says, "I don't want to say that we have beaten a couple of them. It is off and on. They are definitely tough guys and they deserve every big of what they have gotten."
Speedway manager Richard Hall says, "The phones have been ringing off the hook and the e-mails. It is going to be a big show, a very big show."
The feature race with Ryan Newman, Ken Schrader and Dave Blaney is scheduled to start at 8pm Wendesday night at the South Georgia Motorsports Park.
Tickets go on sale at 2pm, the Gates open at 4, and the drivers will be signing autographs at 7pm.
