Albany - Darton soccer coach Ken Veilands has complained that his fourth ranked Lady Cavaliers really haven't been motivated like last year's squad which finished second in the nation.
But comparing the two teams is really not that fair.
Since Darton had ever beaten Young Harris in the regular season or won the state championship until last yearr.
This season, Young Harris handed Darton a 4-1 whipping three weeks ago in the North Georgia mountains.
That loss has lit a fire in the Lady Cav team who wants another shot at Young Harris this Saturday in the championship game of the state junior college soccer tournament.
Team captain and goalkeeper Melissa Gamble said "Now that we realize we have another to chance to play them. That we are so mad that we just want to go out and beat them."
Coach Ken Veilands said "With this group with all the freshmen, that is the only team that has beaten us. And quite honestly the only team that has given us a challenge. So, I think that is motivation to want to win."
Darton first has to win their semifinal match Friday against either Andrew or Georgia Perimeter.
