Albany - The Albany State football team has alot of pride in winning three straight Southern Intercollegiate Athletic conference titles.
Unfortunately, pride is about the only thing they have to play for in their final two games of the regular season.
Saturday's loss at Tuskegee not only knocked the Rams into a three way tie with the Tigers and Lane College in the SIAConference standings.
It also has cost Albany State any chance of a third straight trip to the Division II playoffs.
The Rams only hope for postseason play is to earn the SIAC's bid to the Pioneer Bowl in Charlotte against the CIAA champion.
Right now it appears that bid would go to Tuskegee if the Tigers don't get tripped up in their remaining games.
Head coach Mike White isn't going to be scoreboard watching. Instead he wants to see his Rams bounce back this Saturday against Morehouse.
Mike White said "We have put it behind us. What we can control we will and what we can't we won't. It is really that simple. We will get ready for Morehouse. There is nothing else."
Albany State heads to Atlanta to play Morehouse Saturday at two o'clock.
