Albany - - Cancer survivors say there's hope for women battling the disease and they took their message to the stage tonight.
Celebrating Life Cancer Awareness group held its annual benefit at the AAlbany Municipal Auditorium.
The event featured a fashion show and entertainment from the Westover High School chorus. Celebrating Life helps people understand cancer and provides assistance to those who are trying to fight it.
"Each year we celebrate the lives of women who are either going through the cancer struggle now or have become survivors through cancer. We also give tribute to women who have passed away from breast cancer," says Chair Monica Loholt.
Darton college students also presented a dramatic presentation tonight.
Celebrating Life awarded three $500 stipends to help women with cancer afford treatment and medical expenses.
