Albany -- Police arrest five people in connection with an armed robbery at the Wynnsong Cinemas in Northwest Albany.

Five teens were in the parking lot of Wynnsong Cinemas when a car pulled up and blocked them in their parking space. Men wearing scarves jumped out of a car and demanded money from the teens. The men then fled in a 1991 Oldsmobile.

Police now have four juveniles in custody for the armed robbery. Another teen, 18-year-old Robert Mathis, Jr., is also in the Dougherty County Jail charged in the robbery.

"One of the subjects did jump out of the vehicle brandishing a handgun and pointing it at the driver and demanded his money, demanded his wallet. He did oblige," said APD Lt. Ken Singleton.

Another teen jumped out and demanded money from the others in the car but didn't get any money. The four juveniles are in the Regional Youth Detention Center.

They're all charged with armed robbery and four counts of aggravated assault.
