Albany - The Country's only mobile taser training unit is in South Georgia this week. The mobile facility with the Georgia State Patrol is in Albany updating troopers on taser techniques and practices.

The tool has received criticism over the past several years, because some people have died after being hit, but Master taser trainer Paul Cosper says it's getting positive results.  He says, "It's a very effective tool. We've noticed that people are being more compliant once they notice the taser in an agitated situation. They see it, and they're willing to cooperate and follow the orders of the officer."

Cosper says tasers have actually decreased the amount of officers injured during altercations with suspects.
