Albany -- High School Cross Country teams from all over South Georgia descended on Albany early Saturday morning for the 25th Annual Westover Invitational.
Forty-Six schools and over four-hundred runners competing in the 5K event at Robert Cross Middle School.
The chilly morning weather a little brisk for some of the fans in attendance.
Charlie Cross of Columbus was the overall winner for the guys, finishing well ahead of the pack with a blistering time of 15:55:87.
Peachtree Ridge placing two runners in the top five, and that was just enough, as the Lions edge out Lovett by .001 of a second for first place over-all.
Warner Robbins Brittany Stewart finished first on the girls side.
Lee County's Brittany Skiles crossed the line in fourth place.
Lovett high school wins the over-all title for the girls.
