Albany -- The November election is just over a month away, and one group of Albany State University students wants to register you to vote.
Several students kicked off a drive at June Bug's store. "Lift every voice and vote," and "one vote makes a difference" were just some of the phrases used to increase awareness for this voter education registration project.
The students say it's important that we keep today's voters registered and drive home the importance of every vote. "The students are our nations future leaders and it's very important that we stay on the fore-front of the current issues and encourage other people in our community to do the same," said ASU student Carmen Love. "So when we saw a need to campaign and increase the number of actual registered voters actually casting ballots we jumped on the opportunity and lets go out and we will do it."
If you plan on voting in the general election November seventh, you only have until Tuesday October the tenth to get registered.
