Thomasville-  Thomasville's Utilities are turning 100 and to celebrate the city Thursday is hosting a Customer Appreciation Day.  This is public power and natural gas week in Georgia. Thomasville's customer appreciation day will be held Thursday from 5:00 p.m.  to 7:00 p.m. at Paradise Park. In addition to fun and games customers can pick up some helpful tips for energy conservation.

"At our electric department booth we're going to have some electric savings booklets available to help we've got information available for electrical safety for the kids so we're going to have a variety of information that will be helpful for people," said Sherri Nix, Thomasville Utilities.

A wall of historic photos show the utilities progress over the years.
