Albany -- A split verdict in the identity theft trial of a former Albany Police officer.

Demetria Gaskins was found guilty on four counts of financial identity fraud, and one count violation of oath of office, but not guilty on five counts of theft of service.

She was accused of stealing social security numbers and opening cell phone accounts at Alltel.

Gaskins, a nine year veteran with the Albany Police Department, was fired in June 2005 after her indictment.

She'll be sentenced later.
