Thomas Co. Comprehensive plan complete?

September 28, 2006

Thomas Co. --  Thomas County residents get their last chance to voice their opinion on a plan that will shape the county in the next 20 years.

After Thursday's last public hearing Thomas County Commissioners will forward the community's assessment of the plan to the Southwest Georgia Regional Development Center.

The 20 year plan will serve as a guide for new development in Thomas County. Development will be restricted to a 50-square mile area outside the Thomasville limits. Considerations in the plan include affordable housing and sewer service.
