Trojans ready for battle with Vikes

September 28, 2006

Douglas --  The game of the week in Douglas takes place Friday night at Jardine Stadium.   The Coffee High Trojans will host two time defending state and region champion Lowndes County.

Coffee High has started the season 4-0 and has won their last three games by shutouts. But one of those shutout wins was against Class A Clinch County, and the other two have come against two teams who have yet to win a game this season.

The Trojans know they will find out just how good they are tomorrow night against a Lowndes team looking to bounce back from a loss to Central Gwinnett on homecoming.

"I don't know if we are ready or not," Coffee Head Coach Jerry Odom. "There is an old saying 'you don't know how you look until you get your picture took.' I guess Friday night we are going to get that picture taken."

The big showdown between Coffee and Lowndes starts at eight o'clock at Jardine Stadium here in Douglas.
