Albany -- The Albany State football team had a well-deserved open-date this weekend.
After playing at Kentucky State and returning home to face Stillman on short rest, the Rams getting the week off.
At least, they were scheduled for some rest. Head coach Mike White says his team was still working hard, even with no game to play.
"We really pushed the weights hard," says White. "We really ran hard. We had a couple of guys that were out injury-wise, but they'll be ready to go this week and ready to put up a good effort."
Albany State goes on the road to face Bennedict Saturday.
The three-time defending SIAC champion Rams are 2-0 in the conference so far this year.
