Albany -- There's a new big fish in Albany.  Scott Loehr joins the Riverquarium on October 11th as the new executive director.

With 20 years of experience working with non-profit groups, Loehr says he's prepared to move the Riverquarium forward.

"I think my first duty is to become better acquainted with the community, those who have helped to make this fabulous resource a reality and to work close with the staff and board to develop that vision that moves this organization forward."

Loehr is moving to Albany from Rhode Island. Current Director Doug Noble resigned to take a job at the University of Florida's Museum of Natural History.
