Florida man faces charges in South Georgia

Worth County - - A Florida man faces criminal charges in South Georgia when he's released from the hospital. 

State troopers pulled over 29 year old DeWayne Romans last night in Crisp County because they believed he was driving drunk.

Instead of stopping, Romans psed off and led troopers on a high speed chase into Worth County.

Georgia State Patrol says the man attempted to run into an officer's car and also ran through the crossing arms at a rail crossing when a train was coming.  During the case, Romans' car overturned - sending him to the hospital with injuries.

Romans is in fair condition at Phoebe Putney.

He faces charges for speeding, driving on the wrong side of the road, D-U-I, attempting to allude and aggravated assault on an officer.
