Public television spotlights Albany

September 21, 2006

Albany -- G-P-B is focusing on A-L-B in a new series called Georgia Traveler.   A video crew from the show was in Albany Thursday, shooting at the Flint Riverquarium.

The new series takes viewers to different locations throughout the state.   Reporter David Zelski said "It's really a way to show, let the people of Georgia know where they can go, places they know about already, but also places they may not know about and characters they may not have heard of and we want to share that with everybody."

In addition to the Riverquarium, the crew also visited the parks at Chehaw and Radium Springs. The Southern Rivers region episode should run in about four weeks.
