Albany - He's been on the job a year now, so how does City Manager Alfred Lott like his job? He says it's the best job he could imagine having. In the past year, Lott has established a performance pro management system to have objective goals for city employees and appointed officials, instead of subjective evaluations.

He also says he takes pride in cleaning up the city.  He says, "We've done a lot. We've got a significant effort ongoing to help improve the downtown area, and I think that's going to be very helpful to us."

Lott also mentioned one of his goals for the next year will be to clean up eyesores like junk cars and abandoned houses that can become havens for drug dealers and other dangerous activities.
