Valdosta - An 85 year-old Valdosta woman was killed in a car crash Monday afternoon.
Maxine Connell Steinberg was turning onto Bemiss Road from Blue Pool Drive when she was hit by a another car.
The other driver, 53 year-old Kathleen Roe of Valdosta, was not seriously injured.
Police say Ms. Steinberg was not wearing a seat belt.
Fire Fighters at Fire Station 2 reported that a man approached the fire station bleeding from a chest wound. They provided first aid and called for EMS.
Wet weather in southwest Georgia is making the grass grow back quickly creating a spike in calls to lawn care businesses.
