Grady County -- Cairo Police issued a nationwide alert after a four-month old girl and her mother were kidnapped from their home late last night.

Police believe the woman and her child may already have been taken out of state.

Cairo Police are looking for 30-year-old Oscar Lopez. Lopez recently moved to Tampa, Florida, and had asked the mother of his child, Marta Gomez Diaz and their four month old daughter Julisa to go along.

When they refused, Lopez took matters into his own hands.     "He actually did go through the window and exited through the window with the four month old child," said Chief Keith Sandefur of the Cairo Police Department.  

Police say Diaz was last seen running down the road after Lopez's get away car screaming for help. Diaz then jumped in the car.

Police asking everyone to be on the lookout for a green Toyota Camry with Florida Tags. Lopez is expected to be charged with burglary and kidnapping.

The child and suspect were last seen traveling in a Toyota Camry, with a Florida tag, year unknown, color Green, tag number unknown.  Oscar Lopez is a Hispanic male, 30-years-old, 5'3", 140lbs, Brown eyes, Black hair, last seen wearing white T-shirt and blue jeans.
