Valdosta - After more than a year of construction, Valdosta's Colonial Mall officially re-opened its doors to the public.

The 12 million dollar face-lift gave the mall some much needed renovation while bringing in nine new retailers.

When the construction is complete, the new stores will offer hundreds of additional jobs to the community.  "This will potentially add another 400 or so jobs to the local economy which will obviously stimulate the sales tax dollars as well," says Shelley Rehberg, Marketing Director for Valdosta's Colonial Mall.

Although the mall has officially re-opened, Mall officials are still searching for new retailers to join the Colonial Mall Family.
