Albany - Two of Dougherty County's top employees are doing a good job. That's the word from the Dougherty County Commission. On Monday, commissioners approved giving Police Chief Don Cheek and County Administrator Richard Crowdis 3% merit raises.

The raises mirror what other county employees received for their annual raises this year. The 3% increase will bump Chief Cheek to just more than $81,000. Richard Crowdis now makes close to $115,000.
