Albany -- Young artists enjoyed a day of creativity at Tift Park.

It was the sixth annual Art in the Park event by the Parks and Recreation Department and the Girl Scouts of Southwest Georgia.

Young people got the chance to visit several arts and crafts stations set up throughout the park and make their own artwork.

Families who came out to the park said it was a great way to spend time together.

"We just want to come have some fun with just me and her, daughter and mother time," said daughter Key'yada Thomas.

"She's been stressing momma and daughter day and this was a great thing to do since it's Art in the Park, and she likes to draw," said mother Saundra Thomas.

All of today's events were provided for free by the Parks and Recreation Department, the Girl Scouts, and Procter and Gamble.
