Lee County -- More than 300-bikers were pumped up this morning for a ride to benefit the Parks at Chehaw.

It was the annual Nut Roll event of The Pecan City Pedalers.

Cyclists took off from the Chehaw Education Center and chose how far they wanted to ride, from a 30-mile up to a 103-mile trip.

The riders took scenic routes through Lee County and up to Plains, Ga.

Organizers say it's a healthy, enjoyable way to raise money for charity.

"It's an asset to have Chehaw Park in Albany. We like to see them do well and bring more people from out of town to Albany to see the park," said Pecan City Pedalers president Jim Anne Brett.

This is the third year of the Nut Roll bike ride.
