Albany - The Albany State Rams withstand a second half rally from Stillman College to beat the Tigers 14-7.
The Rams got on the scoreboard on the first series when they blocked a Stillman punt.
Marcus Jefferson recovered the football in the endzone for the touchdown.
A short punt set up Albany State's second touchdown.
The Rams only had to march 20 yards with Kisan Flakes finished the drive with a touchdown run.
Stillman's only score came on a 50-yard punt return by Brian Witherspoon in the third quarter.
The Tigers twice drove inside the Albany State 10-yard line but failed to get any points.
The Rams will get two weeks to get their offense untracked before they play at Benedict College on September 30th.
