Albany - Monroe High quarterback Sherman Stephens is known for his strong arm.
But Lee County learned the hard way Stephens can also run the football.
Stephens earning this week's Orthopaedic Associates player of the week award from Dr. Tim Darden.
The junior quarterback ran for four touchdowns in the Tornadoes win over Lee County last Friday night.
He also completed eight passes for 222 yards and another score as Monroe has started the season 2-0.
Stephens said "They were thinking that I was going to pass alot but they didn't know what to expect because on some drives during the game I kept it on the ground and made things happen."
Monroe takes an undefeated record on the road to Northeast Macon Friday night.
