Bainbridge- The GBI and Decatur County Sheriff's office searched the home of a woman suspected of murder. Investigators searched the home of Holly Sorrells, looking for any clues as to why she might have murdered Charlie Spooner. Decatur County Sheriff Wiley Griffin would not disclose what investigators found, only that they were searching for evidence, including the murder weapon.
"Their whereabouts when this occurred, where might the murder weapon be, it is a weapon that we want to find you know, so it just gives us leads," said Sheriff Wiley Griffin, Decatur County.
Holly Sorrells was arrested last week in Collier County, Florida. She is charged with murder and awaiting extradition. Florida authorities also have Sorrells' male companion in custody. Decatur County authorities want to question him, but they won't release his name because he is not charged. Spooner was shot while lying in bed two weeks ago.
