Cordele cops collar teen robber

On Wednesday, September 13th shortly after noon, Cordele Police responded to Village Hair at 1028 E 24th Ave in reference to an armed robbery.

The employee, had called 911 and initially reported a suspicious black male had entered the business several times asking for change. Then the employee reported the same male entered the store, committing an armed robbery.

Cpl Sales arrived and began searching the area. After having negative contact he returned to the store. The victim reported the suspect entered the business again asking for change. When he was told no, allegedly he pulled out a gun and wanted money.

After receiving a description of the suspect, Cpl Sales relayed this information to other officers. Using this information they located the suspect a sixteen year old in his apartment.

Also, the handgun was also located and seized as evidence. The money was recovered. The juvenile was arrested for Armed Robbery and Possession of a Firearm during the Commission of a crime. He was transported to Crisp County Detention Center.
