Albany-- An Albany man was shot and apparently left for dead early Monday morning.

26 year old Dwarttis Proctor was found inside his car on South Washington Street around 12:30. He'd been shot twice in the abdomen.

The car has two bullet holes through the passenger window, and at least one more in the rear window.

Police say it's possible that someone Proctor picked up last night shot him. Lt. James Williams said "There were several shots fired. We are hoping someone saw or heard something that could help identify the perpetrators in this case. "

Proctor survived and will hopefully be able to tell police who shot him. If you can help, call CRIME STOPPERS at 436-TIPS.
