Albany -- Monroe High School educators encourage parents to take an active role in their student's schoolwork.

Parents were invited to a "Tips for Testing" workshop at the high school tonight. They got information on helping their children prepare for the End of Course and Georgia High School Graduation tests.

"We believe that if the parents are informed they will assist us with great study habits, taking advantage of tutorial sessions, all of those kinds of things," said principal Deloris Spears.

This is the third year of the workshop and the principal says there has been an improvement in test scores.
