Albany - Public bathrooms will soon be under construction at Riverfront park in Albany. You may remember when the water fountains at the park were shut down last year. That's because they are actually considered a zero depth pool, which must have restrooms within 300 feet, a requirement city leaders did not know when they built it.
Portable toilets were set up and the water facility re-opened. County leaders have approved a bid to build a new multipurpose facility, including bathrooms. Tara Dean says she thinks getting rid of the portable building will attract more people. She says, "I think more people will come in and attract more people seeing that you have a bathroom."
