Reese wins first player of the week award

September 7, 2006

Albany - With Deerfield-Windsor trailing George Walton at halftime last Friday night, senior quarterback Paul Reese asked head coach Allen Lowe if he could return punts.

It turned out to be the winning move.

Dr. James Mason with Orthopaedic Associates presented Paul Reese with our first high school football player of the week award this season on Thursday afternoon.

Reese returned one punt for a touchdown and set up another touchdown with a second return.

In fact, the senior quarterback had almost 250 all-purpose yards and scored all four Deerfield-Windsor touchdowns in their 28-14 win last Friday night.

Paul Reese said "I was just having alot of fun out there. We just started good together. I just had alot of fun."

Deerfield-Windsor is on the road Friday night in the Panther Pit in Chula against Tiftarea.

Kickoff is at 7:30 p.m..
