Warrants expected on Foster Mother

September 6, 2006

Lowndes County - Warrants may be taken against a Valdosta woman who's foster child died inside a sweltering car.

Last Thursday, one month old Dejuan Ramsey died after being left inside a van for eight hours.

Deputies say her foster mother, 58 year-old Barbara Dye mistakenly left the baby in the van after dropping off two other foster children at daycare.

The baby was left inside the hot van all day while Dye was at work.

Deputies now say they expect to take warrants for Dye.
