Valdosta - A 13 year-old boy is in critical condition after he was hit by an SUV this morning on his way to get on the school bus.

Mallory Gay was driving her Dodge Durango east on Pine View Drive in Valdosta when she lost control of her vehicle and hit the boy.

The boy was rushed to South Georgia Center with serious injuries.

He is a student at JL Newbern Middle School.

Police charged with failure to maintain lanes, and no proof of insurance, and they say she may face additional charges.
