Decatur County  -- A little Labor Day fun took a tragic turn with the accidental death of a Decatur County man.

The Decatur County Sheriff's office said 36-year-old Kevin Lee Ritter and friends were swinging on a rope swing into the Flint River behind the Flint River Restaurant.

Ritter was swinging on the rope around 6:30 last night when he struck a tree with his chest. He dropped into the water, and then died at the scene.

His body will be transported to the crime lab in Atlanta to determine an exact cause of death.
