Albany -- A well-known Albany businessman dies after crashing his RV into an SUV. GSP says the accident happened around ten Friday night in Seminole County.
Michael Blanchard is a well-known businessman in the Albany area. He was the general manager of Fairway Toyota in Lee County, and appeared regularly on WALB News Ten's Today's Business morning show.
The dealership is usually opened on Saturdays, but it is closed today out of respect for Blanchard.
It will remain closed until Tuesday.
Those who knew Blanchard or did business with him say he made everyone feel comfortable the moment you met him.
"I found him to be a very very good personal friend and good businessman. He treated me right I know that, I'm going to miss him." said friend and customer Lewis Brown.
Lewis Brown met Blanchard three years ago when Blanchard sold him his first Toyota truck.
A black ribbon was placed on the door of Fairway Toyota following Blanchard's death.
