Albany -- We braced for higher gas prices because it's a holiday weekend, but so far, so good. In fact, gasoline is a few cents cheaper right now.

Triple-A says the current average in Albany is $2.58 a gallon. That's down 30 cents from a month ago.

Many holiday travelers say they're happy about it for the time being. I'm glad to see it come down a little bit, but see what happens Tuesday after the holiday," said driver Tripp Harrison.

Gas prices in South Georgia are among the lowest in the state.
