Tifton - It's still no bargain, but gas prices are going down in south Georgia, especially in Tifton. The Raceway there is selling regular unleaded for $2.46 a gallon. That's well below the average price of gas in Georgia, and even lower than the average price a year ago.

Brad Patterson says it's still hard to pay close to $75 to fill up the tank of his pick-up truck, but he's glad prices have dropped.  He says, "Makes me feel better in my pocket. A lot better. I have to fill up at least three or four times a week."

That's because he drives back and forth between Tifton and Sylvester for work, and his pickup truck only gets nine miles per gallon.
